weekend home this month will be the Mark Twain National Forest and the
raging inferno will be courtesy of Caver. We are once again back to our
usual xcursion accommodations of camping in the great outdoors and
roughing it (as long as they have a power outlet for the blender, right?!) |

Twain National Forest Potosi, MO Hazel Creek Recreation Area Information Directions from St Louis 270 to Hwy 21 (Tesson Ferry) South (Exit 2). Take Hwy 21 past Potosi to Hwy C. You will see several large domes that look like large breasts. Turn right on Hwy C and take quite a ways (about 12 miles) to Hwy Z. Turn right on Hwy Z (you can only turn right). Z turns to gravel and Hazel Creek Campground is just ahead on the left. If you don't like 21, you can take 55 south to 67 south to 32 (Park Hills, by St. Joe). Take 32 west. 32 ends into 21 near Caledonia. Turn right and go a short distance to Hwy C (again by large breasts). Then to Z same as above. Hwy 21 is faster, though.
