Post Brakes went out....Just a story to share.
Last week after I dropped off my toddler at pre-school, I noticed my brake pedal was soft...then brake light came on the dash....then the pedal became more and more soft...I pulled over in a neighborhood and put the X in park. Then pumped the brake pedal and it went completely limp. Popped the hood, brake fluid was below half empty....then looked under the X...fluid pouring out of front passenger side wheel. End up being the "hard" brake line. It was leaking under the foil/insulated wrap that protects it from the engine heat. I cut it away and saw a worned out 1 cm sized hole in one side of the brake line.

WTF!

Glad I wasn't going down Black Bear Pass when that happened!

So I think it should be a easy fix. A new hard steel brake line runs about $35. Just a matter off fishing it down in the firewall and into the passenger front fender well.

Also I got a good look at my Right Side exhaust manifold....It is completely cracked in half with a large gap...damn, I better replace that too....thats going to be a bitch.

Good thing you were just around town. Are you just going to buy a brake line section from Nissan or bend your own?

HI! Welcome to the hxoc forum! It is slow here these days since alot of members have faded away and us not doing a good job recruiting.

I ended up getting a new front/passenger hard steel brake line and put a new soft rubber brake line on also. Took an hour from disassembly to installation....alot quicker than I was expecting.
